Every client seems to know what they need for their home. Generally, instinctive purchases bring a touch of personality to the rooms and create spaces similar to their owners. However, in the process they must face certain dilemmas; among them, the choice of furniture.
Going through a discarding process may be easy for some, but between indecision and offers, dining rooms, for example, tend to be subject to analysis before being taken home.
The most constant point of discussion relates to shape and size of the dining table and chairs. If it is round, square or rectangular; if four, six or eight guests enter and how this can be provided in relation to space.
Regarding the form, a series of ideas and reasons for deciding on any of these tables are presented below, involving, of course, aesthetic and decorative issues.
Round tables: tradition and elegance
For many years, the round tables became the dining room show. Ornamental or not, it was pleasant to see them house vases and plates in the same space without looking, at all, auxiliary furniture.
However, times change; and traditional round wooden tables now extend to more delicate, chic and elegant materials. And it is there, precisely, where his fort lies.
As the manufacturing process has resulted in modern tables, this option is ideal for anyone looking for something of this type. The tables without corners work especially in the spaces of the home that are not made with some additional centimeters to install them, adding practicality.
However, this important quality makes the round tables fall to their weakest point: the dependence on amplitude. It is true, round tables can be installed as a breakfast bar, but the dimensions should always be reduced.
Perhaps for the average buyer, this “disadvantage” does not impact their decision at all, but for those looking for a multi-seat table that can be installed and in turn respect the space limits, it is hard work, although not impossible.
Rectangular tables: all given in abundance
Although it is not saved from its complications, round tables are, by far, preferred by customers thanks to the number of advantages they offer, among which it is worth highlighting its strong straight lines.
These are linear structures, with which it becomes incredibly easy to distribute the spaces and delimit, in some way, on which side of the house people are.
The symmetry offered by square and rectangular tables in relation to round ones is more profitable and dynamic. In addition, it is done with the advantage of decoration.
Another fort that corresponds to the square tables is its ability to corner. If for some reason you have to open space for other activities, these can be firmly attached to the wall and be relegated in an unhindered corner – something that does not happen with round tables.
Finally, the space of diners also implies a benefit for those who receive visitors often or need to open space for other guests eventually. With straight-line structures, it is easy to attach another table without obstructing the dynamics of the dining room.
Despite all its benefits, corner tables also have a huge problem: their corners. At least in homes where there are children, accidents can occur more frequently.
